How To Prepare For That Desired Trip
Most of us can only afford one vacation each year. You need to make sure you plan out every step of the trip and every detail so you can really enjoy yourself. The first step is deciding upon the specific type of hotel you want to spend your vacation in. This will impact your trip significantly. You can book a boutique, resort, hotel, or motel. Each type of place has different amenities and a different purpose.
For example, hotels are typically located near major business districts, commonly near downtown. This is intended for those who typically travel for business needs, and these locations are often near fine dining venues or entertainment centers.
If you are looking for excellent amenities and a luxurious experience, you should probably book a reservation with a resort hotel. Typically, these types of hotels are located near attractions like the beaches or mountains. They focus on individuals who wish to experience nature in a luxurious setting.
You can also choose to stay in a boutique hotel. These hotels offer visitors a comfortable stay, but they are probably not going to be as opulent as the resorts. You might find that boutique hotels are themed. These hotels are typically not as large and cost less than do resort hotels.
In addition, boutique hotels are usually more private and romantic than what you would find in resorts.
If your length of your trip is short, then you will likely want a motel. Typically motels are located on highways and other thoroughfares frequented for travel. Motels do not offer many luxuries. They are a very practical means of travel, but their rates are the most reasonable. Motels are the equivalent of a chain restaurant. You go there because it is comforting and you know what to expect.
Selecting which lodging you will need depends of the type of trip you are planning. If you are interested in relaxation and looking for some pampering, you may wish to stay in a hotel, as oppose to using a motel, which is usually intended for someone only needing to stay one night and then continues traveling.
Take the time to educate yourself on what you can choose. Research the area and find what will work best. You will feel secure in your decision if you take some time to find out what your options are and choose what works best for you.

10 Great Ideas To Help Plan A Cost-Effective Honeymoon
It seems these days everyone is on a budget because of a struggling economy, and this can make planning any event, especially a honeymoon, an extremely stressful situation. You shouldn’t worry so much, though, because it is possible to plan a dream honeymoon without spending a ton of money. As long as you are willing to check out your options you will see there are tons of ways to save money and still plan the honeymoon you’ve dreamed of. Check out this list of ten pointers to help you and everyone else plan affordable honeymoons.
1. Pick your time to travel in the off-peak season. Depending on where you go, you can find yourself saving as much as half off the normal price of everything from lodging to meals. As an example, if you choose to travel to a Caribbean spot, you could choose to go in the summer and save a bundle.
2. After choosing your destination, be sure to book air travel in advance. Most major airlines will penalize you with higher fares if you book a flight within less than 30 days of your target departure date. If you’re really savvy, be sure to have a frequent flyer account for the airline you’re using, along with a credit card for that carrier. My wife and I recently used our United Airlines frequent flyer miles to take a trip to Italy. We simply use my United Airlines credit card for most of our monthly living expenses, and the miles keep adding up over time!
3. As is the case with flight tickets, it is important to book hotel rooms early also. Especially in the non-peak time frames, room costs may be subject to negotiation. Anyone looking to save money and who does not mind a change of pace may find staying at a bed and breakfast or booking an apartment rental to be great options.
4. Decide on the tourist sights in which you are interested and make an effort to choose accommodations centrally located and within a short distance to the locations you most wish to see. Being able to secure accommodations near your priority tourist destinations is a great way to reduce expenses that otherwise might have gone to cab rides. Therefore, you can make the most of your vacation time by cutting down on travel time between points of interest.
5. When you dine where the locals do, odds are you’re getting an authentic dish at a reasonable price. Eating American cuisine outside of U.S. borders is considered a premium and probably not as satisfying as the local dishes you could often have for even less money.
6. This next tip is DIRE: If you or someone you know are looking to plan affordable honeymoons, you have to be educated on the exchange rates of currencies outside this country; you also must find out where the best exchange rates are offered. Face it, merchants are going to know you are a tourist, and they are going to use this to their advantage to make as much money off of you as they can.
7. The best money to use when you are overseas is the credit card for several reasons: you won’t have to worry so much about pickpockets, you will usually receive a good exchange rate on things you buy, you will have to worry less about carrying local currency, and you will have a nice way to show everywhere you went.
8. Although most couples look forward to shopping when they go on a honeymoon, the key to saving money is to know what you are shopping for. As long as you know who you are buying for and the merchandise that is the best choice for where you are going, you will be a smart buyer. This way people won’t dislike what you get them or sell them for a nickel in a yard sale.
9. Pack efficiently. No matter your destination, or the length of your journey, you always pack more than you need. Also, it is likely that you will purchase some locally-made garments while traveling. It is common to get wonderful bargains on quality clothing and decorative items in the local shops and markets.
10. Public transportation is cheap, efficient, and always an adventure (and a safe one at that) in most places outside of the United States. It is also a great way to see and experience local life.
I hope this list of tips has been helpful. As you can see, planning affordable honeymoons can be a really fun process. More importantly, the more you plan right now, the more you can relax and have a good time on your actual trip.

The 5 Top Things To Do In New York City
The grand city of New York is undoubtedly one of the most enthralling, unique places in the entire world. Even if you visit the city several times each year, you still won’t see everything the Big Apple has to offer. Because there are so many fun and interesting tourist attractions, choosing the best ones is often a difficult task for tourists, especially those who are only visiting for a few days. But to help make the process a bit easier for you, here are five of the top things to do in New York City:
1. Ellis Island and The Statue of Liberty
The ever unique and widely diverse history of our country can be found at Ellis Island, where years ago so many of our ancestors set foot on American soil for the very first time looking for freedom and prosperity. If you’re a genealogy buff, look through the registry for names of relatives who may have stepped off a boat here before heading on to visit the Statue of Liberty, fondly known as Lady Liberty. If you’ve never seen the statue in person, she is definitely a sight to behold with her strong, majestic presence and watchful eyes overlooking the ocean. To visit Ellis Island from the city, or from New Jersey, take a ferry for $12, which also goes to Liberty Island where the statue is situated. Tickets often sell out, so buy yours early if at all possible, either online or from the site where the ferry departs. You can also tour the crown of the statue, but this might entail an extra cost. These tickets sell out fast as well, so reserve them quickly.
2. Exciting Times Square
There are countless things to see and do in the district of Times Square alone, site of the New Year’s Eve ball drop. Spend a few days shopping, eating at some of the state’s best restaurants, and buy tickets to the latest Broadway shows. If you ever find yourself running out of ideas of things to do here, which is highly unlikely, head over to 7th Avenue near 46th Street and pay a visit to the information center for buying tickets, details about finding your way around, where the best places to go to enjoy the city’s nightlife, and of course, new ideas for things to do and see.
3. Beautiful Central Park
There is so much to do in the park alone, and so much to see. One of the best parts of Central Park is Strawberry Fields. This is the monument area set up to honor the late John Lennon. It’s across from the Dakota, the New York City apartment building where Lennon was assassinated. The site itself is a beautiful stone circle set in the ground and it says “Imagine” which was the name of one of Lennon’s biggest hits. Central Park also has a zoo and a giant carousel. Except for the zoo and the carousel, the rest of Central Park is free of charge. The park is huge, and you can easily spend a day exploring everything the park has to offer.
4. Ellen’s Stardust Diner
For ’50s style fun, delicious food, and an incredible ambience for both kids and adults, visit Ellen’s Stardust Diner, which is not too far away from Times Square, located on 51st and Broadway. At Ellen’s you will be sung to by waiters and waitresses who know all of the best Broadway show tunes. In fact, several employees of Ellen’s Stardust Diner have gone on to successful careers on Broadway. If you can, sit in the upper dining area which provides a view of the whole place. Food is on the pricey side, but well worth it. While reservations aren’t necessary, the diner is rather well known, so plan on waiting in a long line most days.
5. The Empire State Building
Head to the top of the Empire State Building on a clear day and you will be rewarded with a stunning view of all the surrounding states. This is New York’s tallest building and is also one of the world’s most recognizable structures. It has appeared in several well known movies. Adorned with red and green lights for the holidays, the top of the Empire State Building also has various look-out points and binoculars for visitors to use. Admission to the building is $19 for adults, $2 less for those with a military identification, and discounts can often be found through AAA, in entertainment books, and newspapers. You can also buy tickets in the building’s lobby, but because this is one of the city’s most popular attractions, be prepared to wait in line many times during the year.
There are so many things to do in New York City. After all, it is the city that never sleeps! Hopefully, this list will help to narrow down your search for great tourist attractions. Have fun exploring the city!

An Wonderful Trip To Beechworth
Beechworth, Australia is one of the most interesting and fascinating places to visit in Australia. It’s history goes back to the 1800’s when gold was discovered in this region. Aboriginal Clans who are no longer in existence originally occupied the area. Chinese who came to the area have left their mark, which is shown in the town’s restoration.
When gold was discovered in 1852 the area immediately became known as a place to strike it rich and created an influx of people from every lifestyle. In 1853, wishing to make the area identifiable to the world, the residents decided to name this town Beechworth. These original pioneers included the Chinese whose presence is noted in restored areas. They had their own Jade House and community during those times.
Visitors selecting this destination today are privileged to view a restored version of the original town. Granite curbs, Victorian houses, shaded streets make one feel that they are back in that era. In addition, some original gold diggings and other buildings are available for exploration. A goal, built between 1859 and 1864 is present and is still in use by the residents.
The town can be reached by driving, taking a bus or train or by flying into the nearby airport of Albury. Rental cars or taxis are available there for traveling on to Beechworth. This town is unique in that it has been restored in a 19th century theme and is an experience that one will not soon forget.
Accommodations in the city have been developed with the comforts of every visitor in mind. Bed and Breakfast, self-contained, hotel, motel, caravan and camping sites are available. All have been designed for the various tastes of the visitor. Some establishments allow pets as well.
Activities are, of course, always of interest to a visitor and they abound in this area. Vineyards, national parks, Beechworth Gorge and Woolshed Falls are just a few that invite exploration. Gourmet restaurants are in abundance and any food expert will find one that fills his or her desires. The area also boasts of nearby the Australian Alps, which provide for winter sports activities.
There are many interesting tours and day trips available for those desiring to learn more about the area. One that is especially fascinating is the Ghost Tour in which one visits a former lunatic asylum. Festivals and other events are constant throughout the year and very interesting for those interested in learning about the area and its people.
Many well known artists reside in the town, which enables a visitor to pick up an original piece of art. Having a ‘one of a kind’ item makes it a unique addition to one’s home. Many specialty shops are present which feature things like pottery, handcrafts, collectables and many other interesting things. These things, plus visiting a completely restored historical site such as Beachworth is an experience that will be remembered forever.
To get the newest information on beechworth, you should find travel agents online. There are a lot of websites that can give you beechworth information to give you everything you need to book or learn about over there.

The Beaches On The Australian Gold Coast
The Gold Coast of Queensland is a place known for its spectacular beaches. About seventy kilometers of sand and sun are the reason why, along with warm water for any day you’d like to go for a swim. In fact, the water hits its “chill point” at 19 degrees C. It doesn’t take much to understand the draw of the beach here, nor why tourists pour in to the Gold Coast every year for a little relaxation.
Here are some more reasons why our beaches are so popular
For the Surfers
From Duranbah in New South Wales through to The Other Side (TOS) at South Stradbroke Island, we have beach after beach of world class waves to surf. We have some of the most famous reef breaks in the world, with Snapper Rocks and Burleigh Heads constantly producing amazingly long right handers. And it is at these point breaks that we host the first ASP World Championship Tour event, during February – March every year.
However, if you’re the sort of surf hound that likes to ride the waves with some room to stretch out and avoid a crowd in the process, you’d probably be happy to compromise a little on wave quality and should check out the numerous beach breaks where you can have plenty of fun and solitude at the same time. Beach breaks around Kirra and Surfers Paradise are famous for a reason. Besides that, you’ve got more hidden gems like Tugan, Mermaid, Main Beach, Miami and Nobby’s Beach. It’s not all about point breaks. These fine beach breaks give the surfer lots of fun rides which sit empty for many days of every season.
This part of the coast is a laboratory for surf champs, producing guys like Dean Morrison, Parko and Mick Fanning, guys who are in the running for world champion.
Tanning and Swimming
The Gold Coast is blessed with a climate that not only permits terrific tanning all year round, but the water temperature is rarely below cozy. Maybe in the winter it gets a little chilly, but even that’s just before noon. It is quite rare to see no tanners out, even in July or August, the peak of the Australian winter. Normally there are people out on every day of the year, with typical temperatures between twenty and twenty-four degrees in wintertime.
As for the water, it’s so pleasant you can even take a swim most nights on the Gold Coast! The air was much more of a threat to my comfort level when I jump out of the water one night and run back to the car.
Considering there are about ten to twenty meters of sand from ocean to street on almost every Gold Coast beach, the tanning, surfing, swimming, running and kite surfing are truly a pleasure. Usually, there are spots for picnics, barbecuing or a little beach volleyball, too. It’s not surprising that the beaches are one of the biggest tourist attractions themselves.
Damian Papworth loves living on and writing about the Gold Coast. He recently investigated Gold Coast Hotels Australia for your information. A holiday express hotel is always a good option.

Most of the best courses are in the Algarve region in the south of Portugal, but it is worth noting that the Estoril and Oeste coast are fast improving on the quality & quantity of their resorts and courses. This top 5 list attempts to give a mix of courses from each region.
Praia D’El Rey: Just a short drive from Lisbon, this tough links course provides challenges on each hole. Some are wide open to the Atlantic Ocean breezes. Others are partly sheltered by forestation. The quality of the greens throughout is consistent and this makes for a great setting on a summers days.
San Lorenzo – Quinto do Lago: This course regularly makes the European top-ten course lists. The architecture makes the most of the woodlands through which the course winds and the Bermuda grass fairways are a joy to play from.
Penha Longa: Home to the 2010 Portugal Open, this course has many surprises over its 18 holes. The sight of old ruins marking out of bounds for one. While the tough par-four 16th will be a challenge to even low handicap players to make par.
Quinta do Lago: This estate sports 2 golf course, both of which regularly make the top 25 of courses in Europe. The one to play though is the links-style south course with its Atlantic views (and consequently, breezes) and well aged greens and fairways.

Brisbane Convention Centre Accommodation Is The Main Concern For All Tourists
Finding accommodation in Brisbane when the Convention Centre operations are in full swing is not a problem as there are many hotels, motels, bed and breakfast places and apartments within walking distance of the centre. The close proximity of Brisbane Convention Centre accommodation makes it remarkably easy to attend the many conferences, exhibitions and festivals it is renowned for.
The world views the BCC as one of the best, being graded among the top three internationally. Having gained many awards for their efforts the demand for use of the centre is so great; construction to expand into another five levels has begun. These spaces have been booked already for use by businesses and event hosts, with even more on the waiting list for future organised occasions. The BCC is one of the most successful venues in Australia and perhaps the world.
Motor shows, Fishing Exhibitions, Travel Expositions, International Wine Tasting Events and everything you could possibly think of for big scale entertainment, this venue is big enough for the lot. With many events staged at the one time, visitors to the centre will have nearby accommodation on their mind as a main concern. Nearly all have a rating of four to five stars, as the services and facilities dictate the need for quality and often luxurious accommodation.
Some of the facilities include a swimming pool, sauna and spa. This is great for unwinding the tension in a relaxed mode. If that doesn’t work then a workout at the gym may be called for, to help loosen up physical tightness and soreness. Both the pool and gym will keep the kiddies amused as well if the whole family has come to stay. These little extras help the trip be more comfortable for everyone, especially if a fast-paced schedule has to be kept. Neat little cafes and elegant restaurants surround the resort areas, with as much variety available as anywhere in the city. Brisbane is designed so that everything is so easy to connect with.
A fully self contained apartment will mean a home away from home, excellent for families to enjoy. Most accommodation facilitates cable TV with international channels for those wishing to keep in touch with the news back home, or just wanting a touch of something familiar while away. For singles or couples, a one bedroom apartment with unsuited can have a private terrace for enjoying a relaxing drink in the evenings.
Tourists are catered to with free bus transportation around the city, making life just that bit easier once again. Train travel will only take half an hour to transport people to the airport, either domestic or international. Arrangements can be made at the concierge desk at the hotel for daily tours of the city too.
There are twenty-nine hotels that cater to the flavour of the BCC, welcoming tourists all year round for events they eagerly await. Only two of them are adjacent to the centre, but the others are a short, pleasant walk; a safe distance to travel, day or night.
Access to the Brisbane Convention Centre accommodation is a top priority for visitors to Queensland. It is a very well connected city and prides itself on being compact and visually beautiful. In contrast with most major cities, many picturesque walks along the river and bridge may give the weary traveller a sense of serenity.
for those international visitors, Brisbane Convention Centre Accommodation is extremely popular. Down the road from the Brisbane Convention Accommodation, you will come across everything you need ranging from restaurants to hotels.
