Plan A Day Out At One Of South East England’s Amusement Parks

Southeast England features a number of great amusement parks such as Thorpe Park, Legoland Windsor, Diggerland along with Chessington World of Adventures. At these, you are going to find enjoyment for everyone, such as white knuckle, thrill seeker rides, exotic animal exhibits, fantasy worlds and lush gardens. All these parks are accessible from London and deliver memorable activities for the entire family.

Legoland Windsor

There’s nothing quite like Legoland Windsor, providing attractions the whole family will enjoy. The park is themed after the well known LEGO toy line. From the funicular train, to the spectacular LEGO models and miniatures, this park offers something everybody can enjoy. Most of the attractions are aimed at families and youngsters. The park is situated on 150 acres of lovely park land in Berkshire, located only 13 kilometers west of Heathrow airport.

Thorpe Park

If you are an adrenaline junkie you must go to Thope Park, in Chertsey, Surrey.. Thorpe Parks has a series of three rides they call ‘the unholy trinity’: Stealth, a ride that launches you to a chilling height of 62 meters, in just 2 seconds. Try Collosus, if you have the courage, the first roller coaster on earth with 10 full loops. If you’re able to stand the heat, let Nemesis Inferno plunge you into a volcano at an incredible G-force of 4.5. This is only the start of the excitement. Thorpe Park also has famous coasters such as Saw: The Ride. Not only is this the first ride on the planet based on a horror movie, it’s also the coaster with the biggest free fall drop on earth.

Diggerland

While Diggerland is primarily created for boys as well as their families, it features enjoyable, interactive attractions youngsters of all ages will be able to enjoy. Diggerland is really a paradise of big digging machines and rides based on this theme, and it is truly among the most enjoyable and original amusement parks in Southeast England. Their location in Strood, Kent gives guests the opportunity to ride and drive real digging machines with controls adapted for kids as young as five. It’s not just digging machines, however; visitors are able to ride all kinds of vehicles from Go-Karts to a mini-train. With an on-site cafe as well as complete facilities, Diggerland is the ideal location for a really remarkable family outing.

Chessington World of Adventures

Originally started off as a zoo in 1931, Chesington World of Adventures has evolved into a full-fledged theme park, incorporating animal exhibits and rides in one exciting place. Children and grown ups alike will marvel at the multiple themed areas, taking visitors through locales from throughout the world, and also worlds of fantasy and whimsy. Observe the exotic birds of Lorikeet Lagoon or thrill to the age-old ruins and crazy rides of Wild Asia, or end up under water together with real sharks and stingrays at the new Sea Life Centre.

Affordable Disney Vacations: Creating Fun and Inexpensive Memories

Planning a visit to Walt Disney World in the near future? If you are trying to make it an affordable Disney vacation, then you should know that there are a number of fun and free (or almost free) things to do while there. Especially when it comes to souvenirs, it is nice to know that you don’t have to spend a fortune to bring home some great Disney memories. So with that in mind, here are 10 ways to maximize your Disney World fun and minimize your wallet at the same time.

1. Be sure to visit the Disney resorts. Each has an interesting theme that can be fascinating to explore. Of special note is the Animal Kingdom Lodge with it’s own set of animals that roam free just under the guest room balconies. You can check out the animal observation areas for a closer look.

2. Spend an afternoon or evening at Disney’s Boardwalk, where you will arcade games and activities just like at the beach.

3. Ride the monorail. It’s a must do on every vacation we have at Disney World.

4. Ride a Segway. While you can sign up for an actual tour that is a little pricey, you can get a quick “lesson”…and photo op….at Innoventions at Epcot.

5. Souvenirs don’t have to be budget busters. In fact, some of the best ones are some of the cheapest ones: pressed pennies, postcards, pencils, and pins all make great mementos, and are perfect for kids who love collecting things.

6. If you have kids, character autographs will probably be a big hit. Turn this into a lasting souvenir by using something other than an autograph book: try tee shirts, hats, posters, or pillowcases instead. Be sure to have the characters use a sharpie for lasting signatures.

7. Try pin trading. It can be addicting, and as a cautionary note, expensive if you are not careful….but if you start small and keep to a budget, your kids….and you…..will have a blast doing it.

8. For a fun, educational, and free activity, have your children visit each of the Epcot KidCot fun stops where kids make fun masks etc. at each of the World Showcase countries.

9. Think pools. Just about every hotel has a pool in Florida, and many are quite elaborate. Be sure to use it! Especially if you are visiting in the summer, you will appreciate the chance to unwind for a few hours each day at the pool…and your kids will love it too.

10. Literally take time to smell the roses. After 11+ trips to Walt Disney World, each time we STILL see something we never saw before. Disney World is an absolutely fascinating place to visit, and you should definitely take a few minutes each day to allow yourself to enjoy it.

With a little thought, you will be able to make the most of your time, money, and experiences, and actually have an extremely affordable Disney vacation. And the best thing about that is those magical memories you create will not break the bank in the process.

How To Locate Comfortable Gold Coast Accommodations

If you are traveling to the Gold Coast hotels are very important. You may not realize how much the right hotel or motel can make your trip until you have stayed in the wrong one. Giving your needs some thought before you arrive can make sure that you get the amenities you want at a price that will not break the bank.

Depending on when you are traveling, making reservations is strongly recommended. Many hotels will have two prices for their rooms and the time of year you are taking your trip will influence how much you will pay. There are two tourism seasons. The first is the high season. This is the time that more people are traveling to a particular area and as a result, prices will be higher. It usually coincides with the nicest weather in an area. The low season is less expensive. The majority of travelers will likely be for business.

On the Gold Coast, as with most of Australia, the high season tends to start in the second half of January. This is summer in Australia but it is before the burning weather of high summer when the country becomes quite dry. Many people love the weather on the Gold Coast and will travel there during this time. It can make it hard to get a room. It can also be hard to get a room if you are traveling to the area during a big sports or cultural event. There are a few notable ones in the Gold Coast area. One is a car race known as the Gold Coast Indy 300. Location can also affect the price and availability of a room. People who love clubbing and the area’s active nightlife will often book rooms closer to the entertainment district and prices there will be higher as a result.

Different people have different expectations and needs. Knowing what your needs and wants are will help you pick the accommodations that are right for you. Because the Gold Coast is such a popular tourist destination, accommodations will range from housekeeping units to all inclusive resorts. Because you have such a wide range of accommodations to choose from you may want to narrow down your choices. You can do this by choosing according to amenities, number of stars, location or price.

You can find many different hotels and motels in the Gold Coast area on travel websites. Booking online can often be a great way to save money on your room. You can sometimes save even more money if you book a room during the low season since hotels will be trying to fill up their rooms. You can also be creative as a way of saving money. If you love having access to spa facilities but don’t want to pay as much, don’t automatically book a hotel with spa facilities. This is because services will often be more expensive. If you pick a hotel that is close to a spa, you can travel back and forth easily and may be able to save money at the same time.

Most hotels and motels should have a rating system. It is usually based on stars. The more stars a facility has, the more amenities it will have. It will also cost more. If you want to have an excellent vacation but don’t want to pay top dollar, don’t go straight for a five star facility. A four star facility may be less expensive but still be very comfortable.

Do you worry about running out of money for food? This can be natural, especially if you have planned a longer stay or you have traveled with limited funds. If you can, you might want to consider booking a room in an all-inclusive facility. These allow you to eat for free in hotel restaurants and some may even include alcoholic beverages. If you do pick an all-inclusive facility, make sure you pay attention to the kinds of food that they are serving. It will make no sense to pay extra for food and then find yourself eating off site for the majority of your meals. However, to avoid unexpected charges, you want to make sure that you know any possible restrictions such as paying extra for premium meals.

If you need to keep costs down or you are staying for a longer period of time, you may want to consider a housekeeping unit. These allow you to make your own meals. It can be a great way of getting to see the culture of the Gold Coast as you shop for and prepare meals. It can also make your stay more reasonably priced since food is often the most expensive part of a trip.

Locating Gold Coast accommodations to stay in does not need to be stressful. By using the Internet and knowing when to travel you can often get great deals and make your trip much more affordable.
