Australia is an incredible place to visit, it’s a diverse country that offers something for everyone is is one of the world’s best holiday destinations. If you are a party animal you can head up the East Coast, if you prefer more relaxed scenery then the West Coast and the Northern Territory would suit. Australia also has some excellent cities including Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane all of which have a vibrant youthful edge. The great cities aside, these are five places in Australia you shouldn’t miss:-

1. The Red Centre – The Red Centre is a made up of a trilogy of sites, Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) and Kings Canyon. When visiting Uluru you have two options – you can walk around it or up it. Many tourists prefer to climb the rock but Aboriginals prefer visitors not to as it holds spiritual meaning for them. The walk round Uluru can be a tiring walk but it will give you the opportunity to see ancient aboriginal drawings.

A little further out (well 25km to be exact) are the two incredible sites of The Olgas and Kings Canyon. Spend a day visiting both and you won’t be disappointed. You have the option of walking around both if takes your fancy although be prepared before you walk and don’t walk out in the mid day sun! Kings Canyon is 300m long and the Olgas are an inspiring 8 km walk.

2. Fraser Island – Be sure to include a visit to Fraser Island – the largest sand island in the world. The island is a wonderfully surreal experience filled with sand dune landscapes, clear ‘window’ lakes and even a mysterious looking ship wreck. You’ll also see plenty of dingos! See the whole island by hiring a group four wheel drive tour where you can explore the whole place, camping overnight for at least a few days.

3. Byron Bay – The beautiful beach side town is a relaxing break away from city hassles. You cannot fail to love the incredible coast line, interesting shops, the golden beach and the laid back hippy vibe here. Come here and you’ll be sharing space with artists, bohemian types and other tourists. Nature lovers also love the whale watching also on offer here.

4. Barossa Valley – The Valley is widely known for it’s fantastic wine and lush vineyards. Famous wine such as Yalumba are made here and you can see the whole process on a tour. Taking a tour is highly recommended and you’ll get to visit many wineries and also great restaurants.

5. Kangaroo Island – This large island is often overlooked as a tourist destination but you should really try to make the ferry trip from Adelaide. Holiday Destinations: Five of the Best Beauty Spots in Australia

The huge island of Australia is sparsely populated ancient land, popular with holiday makers and backpackers seeking fun, beautiful scenery and great weather. Although the vast country is mostly flat and arid Australia also offers exceptionally beautiful and diverse landscapes for those willing to find them. Australia is one of the perfect holiday destinations for outdoor and nature enthusiasts and when visiting, here are five unique beauty spots you wouldn’t want to miss:-

Great Barrier Reef – The world’s largest coral reef in Queensland covers 2600km and is comprised of around 900 islands. The Witsundays are a series of impossibly beautiful continental islands of different sizes, just off the coast of Queensland. Crystal clear waters lap against the bright white sandy beaches, as tourists sail between islands on one of the many boat tours. Try boarding a boat at Airlie beach, and enjoy drifting through the beautiful scenery for days at a time.

One of the best ways to experience the Great Barrier Reef is to again hire a boat or buy a tour from the mainland. This way you can choose to either snorkel or dive (if you are a more experienced swimmer). Stronger and less experienced are all welcome and the tours make provisions for all abilities. Sealife that you are likely to see are beautiful fish such as red-bass, snapper, clown fish and angel fish as well as manta ray, tiger sharks and vividly coloured coral.

The Great Ocean Road – The Great Ocean Road stretches along the south-eastern coast of Australia between Torquay and Warrnambool and lasts for 243km. The journey is an unforgettable one and there are various look-out points to stop and savour the moment. Here you will find different rocks jutting out of the ocean, the most renowned being the “Twelve Apostles” which provide for fantastic photographs especially at sunset and sunrise. Allow yourself a full day to take in the sights and if possible hire a car and drive yourself.

Purnululu National Park – Purnululu National Park in Western Australia is often overlooked due to its fairly isolated location. A lack of tourists though means that the area has remained fairly unspoiled. A visit to Purnululu National Park must include a trip to the Bungle Bungles. The striped sandstone rocks are a fantastic sight and great photo opportunity. Take in one or tow of the many walks and trails, or blow the budget seeing the area by helicopter.

Broome – Broome, like Purnululu National Park, is located in Western Australia and often gets missed. The visitors who do know about Broome go to relax and for Cable Beach – Broome’s famous beach is also one of Australia’s top ten beaches. It’s a special place where time just seems to disappear – perfect for a relaxing break. When visiting also make sure you include a trip to Broome’s very own open air cinema which makes for a good night out before hitting the local bars.

Kakadu National Park – One of the greatest national parks in the world can be found in the North of Australia. Kakadu covers a huge space of nearly 4,894,000 acres and is abundant with unusual flora and fauna and fantastic wildlife including Alligators! Alligator river crosses through the park so it’s advisable to take a tour and stick with your tour guide! During the tour you will also get to meet the local Aborigine tribes which have lived there for thousands of years. A good tip is to avoid the wet season which runs from December to March.

There Are More, But Here Are Just 10 Reasons To Have Your Birthday Party On A Boat Cruise

The older we get the more our birthdays seem to become less of an occasion. Other than the obvious milestones, there is some societal taboo that seems to stop many of us from throwing a heck of a party every year because there will be snickers and talk of “we are not five years old anymore, why should we throw such a big party?”

We can still throw big birthday celebrations when we’re older, but they’re usually reserved for the big birthdays like 30, 40, and 50 respectively. The blowouts are reserved for when we’ve passed another decade milestone in the aging process. Our friends and family look at these birthdays as the greatest excuse to do something big.

Group vacations are usually done under some kind of pretense. Destination weddings or bachelorette spa weekends make people feel better about taking time off with the people they most enjoy. Why not extend that to your birthday? Make it an occasion to try something new and to have fun. There are 10 reasons to have your birthday party on a boat cruise.

Reason 1 is the price. The economy is not on the best of terms and many people are having a hard time right now. Going on a vacation is an enticing luxury that a boat cruise can accommodate. Other than the price of alcohol and some extras, your time on a cruise is completely covered.

Reason 2 is that you can indulge in some of the best cuisine in the world. Spending one night in a top restaurant can set you and your friends back a pretty penny, but indulging for free every night? Bliss.

Third, boat cruises are all about your choice. You can travel to more than one destination on a boat cruise depending on where it will be at port so that you can explore many different environments. It is up to you!

Forth, on top of your port choices, you can stretch yourself and try any number of exciting activities like rock climbing or surfing.

If that doesn’t sound like you and your friends, fifth, you can all have a relaxing time decompressing from the stresses of the every day world. Whether you’re sun bathing or getting a massage, your birthday can be the reason you and your friends can get away from it all.

Reason 6 is that you only have to pack one bag. Traveling to so many different places and being able to do so many things feels like you would have to pack an army of luggage, but that is simply not the case.

The seventh reason encompasses all of the fun and adventure you can have when you go on a boat cruise. Trying new things with the ones you love can make your birthday even better.

The eighth reason is that you can find love on a boat cruise. Silly? Not really. When you think about a ship full of people who are relaxed and having fun, the chances of finding someone go up exponentially.

Ninth, transportation is not an issue. Having everyone find there way to a vacation essentially in your honor can be stressful for everyone involved. If you live too far from a port of departure many cruise deals include airfare.

Reason 10 is that there is no reason not to go. The experience of a cruise is one of being pampered and our birthdays should be a day where we celebrate ourselves. Taking a boat cruise with your friends can turn your birthday into one of the best vacations you’ll ever have.

How To Find Tours And Travel Canada

So many tours and travel Canada guides are available it is hard to keep up with the ever changing information each year. However, one way of travel a lot people enjoy with regards to touring Canada is that by train. As the country is vast, one can also cover a lot of ground by using this mode of transportation with regards to getting to and touring Canada as well.

Regardless of interests, Canada generally offers something for everyone. Therefore, one might want to search blogs regarding activities and other information one is interested in obtaining before making their way to Canada. One might also keep in mind that many tour books as well as local Canadian newspapers also offer both lodging and restaurant information and reviews.

Another way to see Canada and most other areas is by way of air. Many airlines offer air tours in most parts of Canada, even some remote areas of the Canadian Wilderness. Therefore, if one wishes to see Canada by air, one can call and visit the air tours which one finds interesting before making a final decision. Also, many air tours can also be found in Canadian tour books as well as the local phone books relating to the area in which one is visiting at the time.

Upon arrival in Canada, renting a car is also an option, if one chooses to do so. However, this can be extremely expensive especially if one includes the insurance. Therefore, it is better if one can travel by air or train as it is most likely, faster and less expensive overall.

Both the United States and Canada now require passports for those entering and re-entering either country, passports which are checked on both sides of the border. To this end, be sure and allow enough time to process a passport request which can sixty to ninety days. However, if one requires a passport in an emergency situation, one can generally obtain one somewhat sooner. Although, a good explanation may also be required in order to process an emergency request for a passport.

As is always the case, one must first decide their destination before one can begin planning travel. Next one must decide on the date and location which one wishes to visit. Then, one must choose from a number of available methods of travel, air, boat, bus, car or train. To this end, one might want to watch a show on one of the travel related channels or rent a video on the area in which one will be visiting.

Two of the main areas in which tourists like to visit are Vancouver and Montreal. Each of these cities have more in the way of tourism than any others in the Canadian provinces and are therefore generally a bit more pricey with regards to food and Canadian relics in gift shops. Both cities also offer a great deal of entertainment. For example, in Vancouver, boat cruises are available. However, most events related to tourism in Canada are generally only open in late May through early September.

As expected, with the Olympic Games in Vancouver in February 2010, travel today is much higher a price than normal in this region of Canada. This is because as hotels book up, the rates tend to increase when the hotel reaches a limited number of rooms available. Therefore, if one is going to the Olympic Games this year, one need make their reservation as quickly as possible to assure accommodations are still available.

Whether visiting Montreal or Vancouver, if visiting during special events, one may want to reserve their hotel room as early as possible. This is because even with the increased rate hotels charge during special events, they often still sell out quickly as these are the two most popular cities for tourists in Canada.

While it can be fun exploring Canada, especially with regards to a guided tour, one can also find self-guided tour books at most travel centers. In addition, one can also have a rather exciting vacation by including as many options as one can regarding either guided or self-guided tours while visiting Canada. So, regardless of the mode of travel one takes to get to Canada, an excellent vacation full of fun and entertainment awaits just over the border.

To this end, find a local bookseller and browse the section on tours and travel Canada style. One will most likely find a great deal of information regarding each area in addition to a listing of lodging and restaurant reviews. Some tour books even offer a page of money saving coupons. Therefore, find the one that is best suited for the trip one is planning to Canada and then one will have the knowledge to know when, where and how to go once one is inside the borders, and a tourist in Canada.

Corporate Boat Cruises Mix Business And Pleasure

Corporate boat cruises are gaining popularity as an alternative for corporations who hold large meetings away from headquarters. These cruises are comparable in price with renting meeting space at hotels and in many cases offer more in the way of amenities. This article will look at some of those options.

Corporate boat cruises are plentiful and very easy to find. Use any search engine and there are dozens of them at your fingertips. Don’t forget to type your city and state at the end of the search text. This will narrow the search a bit to include only those in your immediate area.

There are many reasons large corporations would book a cruise ship or yacht. Business meeting held on a ship or yacht are sure to impress any client. Many cruise ships have all the amenities of a hotel including a meeting room, telecommunications, fax and presentation equipment, and food service. These can be rented by the day, week, or leased into the companies fleet of transportation.

Reasons corporations book hotels or cruises vary from company to company. Whether your corporation is networking, making a presentation to clients, conducting training or brainstorming meetings, or enjoying some good old fashioned camaraderie and corporate/workforce bonding, corporate boat cruises have the facilities you need. Based on my research, they have a package for just about every type of corporate function. All of the packages are completely flexible and you can even create a package of your own.

Some cruise lines have an older and quainter fleet of vessels that are like floating museums restored to their original luster. Others sport modern ships over one hundred feet long and use up-to- date technology like GPS and satellite TV. Whether your tastes run from nostalgic or conventional, corporate boat cruises have something to offer everyone.

The cost of a small cruise ship compared to hotel facilities is close. The cruise ship is a few hundred dollars more but many of the extras that you would pay a hotel are included in the cruise package making it the better value. Just like hotels, pricing ranges from cruise company to cruise company. On average, $1.000 to $4.000 is about standard depending on the length of the cruise and the entertainment or dining package included.

Virtually every corporate boat cruise business has an event manager that you will speak with when inquiring. This person will guide you through the entire process from your first contact to the actual experience. These professional salespersons are highly trained and very good at making sure you get the most bang for your buck. They specialize in hospitality and corporate events right down to the details of what food is served, staffing, and destination planning.

After reviewing dozens of cruise ship lines that specialize in small and medium corporate boat cruises, I realized that it would be very difficult to pick one and the process would be a long one. It would be a great idea to have most of your information together before you speak to an event manager. Knowing beforehand, exactly what you want and how many people will be involved will save a ton of valuable time and greatly improve the initial options offered.

If visiting the Toronto Harbour inspires your adventurous and fun loving side, then Toronto cruises are perfect for you! Tourists and vacationers can find plenty of excitement aboard Halloween cruises.
