A Gal’s List Of The Hottest Places In New York City
New York City has some pretty amazing shopping for both men and women. While it is most definitely an expensive activity, shopping in New York is great because you get to see the sights while ducking in to your favorite stores.
Here are some of the best areas to check out while shopping in New York.
The Meatpacking District is one of the hottest areas in the City right now. Alexander McQueen and the Theory Headquarters are both located here. The newly constructed highline product spans over the area and makes for a great scenic view as well.
An always-popular place to go shopping in New York City is SoHo. Prince Street and Spring Street get way too crowded during the weekend, so stray off the beaten path by walking down other streets like West Broadway or Thompson Street.
Another fun area to check out for shopping is the East Village. Some of the best stores to check out around this part of town include Urban Outfitters, Odin and Pinky Otto.
Of course, an extremely popular area to shop is 5th Avenue and the Upper East Side in general. Be careful though, because everything uptown just ends up costing more money. Bloomingdale’s on 57th has sales a few times a year, so go while your favorite brands are sold on sale.
Another area that is notorious for high end shopping, but is located on Long Island is the Americana Shopping Center in Manhasset. Also known as the “miracle mile,” this outdoor strip of luxury retailers is hard to beat.
These are some of the areas that I have been going to recently, and if you happen to find yourself in Manhattan, then you can go here too!

Vacation Packing Guidelines For Men
We may be in the depths of winter at the moment, but that doesn’t mean you can’t start planning your summer vacation! It never hurts to be prepared and sometimes a little forward planning can be just the ‘pick me up’ you need when it’s cold. One thing you should always make sure to pack for a summer break is a good pair of sunglasses. The bigger the better, really, as they will protect your eyes from both the sun and the glare. Don’t forget them just because they’re small.
Another key thing to make sure you have in your luggage is a decent selection of T-shirts, or tees. These will be useful for all aspects of your trip. Stay cool in loose, breathable fabrics such as cotton and use them to cover up on the beach if you’ve had a bit too much sun. They’re also great for trips to bars and restaurants and, if you take a selection of colors, you’ll be able to mix and match your outfits for the duration of your vacation.
Another key item you should make sure to pack in your suitcase is a pair or two of board shorts. These will serve you well whether you’re spending the day chilling on the beach or if you’re off out on a day trip to do some exploring. They’re generally made out of a breathable fabric that also folds up really small, meaning they’ll fit easily into your luggage. Knee length shorts are especially trendy and they can double up as bathing shorts, helping you save room in your luggage.
You need to make sure to take a couple of pairs of shoes with you on vacation, too. Don’t go overboard or they won’t fit in your luggage! Flip flops are great for casual exploring or for lounging around on the beach, plus they’re cheap and don’t take up much space, making them a great buy. A pair of sturdy sandals is also a good idea on vacation as they’re breathable and cool but sturdy enough that you’ll be able to walk around in them if you need to.
Another item you should definitely take with you is a long-sleeve casual shirt. More than one can be a good idea, especially if you have fair skin that needs to be protected from the sun. It’s always an idea to have something to cover your shoulders and choosing a light color such as white or pale blue will help to reflect the sun and keep you cool, even when wearing long sleeves. These shirts will also be great if you find yourself out for a formal meal.

Critical Points With Regards To Opting For A Safari Hat
A safari is typically characterized as a long journey into the wilds of Africa for the functions of taking photos of animals. The type of clothing you use are generally t shirts, pants, caps, belts and additional bits of clothing in a khaki coloring. The safari hat, or slouch hat, is an important part of your wardrobe when going out into the safari. The phrase slouch hat refers to a hat with one facet that droops lower whilst the other side is pinned to the crown.
The hat is a essential piece of gear as it is there to safeguard you from a wide range of various hazards. One such threat is sunburn simply because it can be a real problem for those who are not used to powerful sunlight in an environment that has anything at all but a mild climate. Thus the hat should have a wide brim to guard your face, ears, and neck as the sun can burn you even when it is low on the horizon.
When you decide on a hat be sure that it is produced of a material that is water proof on the inside. This enables perspiration that you produce in the heat and when you exert yourself to be absorbed away from your head. Which in turn will make you feel a little more comfortable on your trip.
Your chosen head gear should also have waterproofing on the outside. A handy feature for when a sudden downpour unexpectedly occurs. Hopefully your trusty hat should protect long enough for you to find a better and safer shelter.
Another consideration for the choosing of the correct head gear is that it must be permeable by gas to allow for heat to escape and all of the area covered by the hat to breath. This allows for your body to cool off a little as a big percentage of the heat that is produced by your body is known to be lost from the top of your head. Materials that are available to pick from are cotton, canvas, or a mesh. A vent or two put in a strategic area of the hat can also be an option for venting heat.
Another component that an ideal safari hat should have is a chin strap for keeping it on the head if the wind should blow. After no one wants to lose the protective head gear you are wearing during any time in your safari. After all you do not want to experience the loss of protection that it provides.
The safari hat, or a slouch hat, is a piece of equipment that is important when going on a long journey. Hopefully you as the wearer will be comfortable after you choose the correct hat for the environment that you will find yourself in. Because it is known that not every kind of safari hat and the kind of materials that they are made from will not be right for every kind of climate.
