Don’t Run The Ferry Aground In Puget Sound

Washington State boasts virtually boundless water possibilities such as boating, kayaking, canoeing, white water river rafting, swimming, fishing, hiking, sightseeing, walking the boardwalks and day dreaming in the sand. From there, you descend through thick woods and arrive at wooded pasture with small dispersed lakes. The woody pasture leads to the crossing tunnel under U.S. Highway 101 and near Camp Rilea. This stretch of the trail marks the beginning of sandy soil and gentle dunes and leads into beach woods before opening up at the Sunset Beach/Fort to Sea Trail parking lot. Tourists are lured to Cape Flattery due to its’ end-of-the-Earth mystic. Cape Flattery is a wooded area over the Pacific Ocean and illusive Tatoosh Island, a sacred Makah spot. Orcas, gray whales, sea lions, birds and geoducks use the beaches, marine waters and tidelands of Admiralty Inlet while cruise ships, container vessels and nuclear submarines pass above.

Half way between Savannah and Jacksonville, is a scenic island haven, Jekyll Island, Georgia. Jekyll Island is right in the middle of a renewal project to increase it’s eco-system and tourism and is one of the largest revitalization campaigns in the Southeastern United States.
