With Christmas over and all the travelling out of the way, you would think we could just relax and not have to worry about booking accommodation for a while right? However Easter soon starts to roll around and before you know it, you need to find somewhere to stay. This always happens, no matter what because we just tend to think that it will get done no matter what, and someone will take care of it right? Nope, when it is up to you then it all falls on your shoulders the hardest. We all need to be a little more organized with our times, because there is just so much going on at the moment that we can barely keep up.

It seems that there are just a lot of applications out there which in turn makes us forget to check them as well, and we end up forgetting more than what we used to. These calendars and tools need to have some sort of memory game on them so it can help us to remember.
Having lists all around the house can sometimes help, but again you have to remember to write them down and then remember where you put those lists. There should be a voice recorded application that plays back at a certain time when it knows you have to do something. However i think that is more into the robot territory rather than something to remember our appointments for us. Perhaps everyone with a bad memory should get to together and try to think of something, and just not forget what they are there to do.
Our memories can get the best of us sometimes, and when something happens like forgetting to book or look at Auckland accommodation then things can get a little scary; for us anyways. How many anniversaries do you have? It may seem like a weird question and all, but its only asked because so many people i know have so many anniversaries that it is a wonder they can remember all of them. I always thought that you either celebrated the first time you met or when you started dating officially and of course the wedding date which i assumed erased all the other ones and the clock restarted kind of thing. However apparently this isn’t the case, as people celebrate the first time they met, their first date, when they started dating, when they moved in together, the first over night stay and so much more that i can see why men forget their anniversaries. However i just cannot get over the amount of celebrating that one relationship can go through. Perhaps i have a cynical view on anniversaries because i hardly celebrate them for some reason, however that doesn’t mean that i don’t and that i think people shouldn’t. It just means that they seem to be special and deserve a day to themselves, but that should only be one day and for the really big occasion, not for every little thing that has ever happened since the dawn of time. Like i said, i might be a little cynical. Still if someone gave me an apartment for the weekend, surrounded by the city and the art galleries and museums, not to mention the shops and night life, then i would probably want one everyday as well.
It really is all about location right? I mean you wouldn’t want to be out in the suburbs so far away from anything that you didn’t want to leave the room. You would want to be in the middle of the action and able to walk somewhere amazing by just turning the corner. There is so much going on in the city that we forget unless we actively seek it out for ourselves and go out there and experience it.
