6 Places for a Great Holiday in Turkey
Turkey is a great place to go in the summer. The holiday destinations have everything you need for a great vacation. The weather is almost always perfect with sun the whole day. The beaches are great and the parties are going on all night. Finally the Turkeys kitchen is very good.
If you just want to relax, you can spend the whole day on the beach. If you want some action, you can try one of the water sports: jet skiing, parasailing or the banana boat. Or you can just play a game of beach volleyball.
If you like to be active in your holiday, you can trek in the mountains or do some mountain- or ravine climbing. If water is more your element, Turkey does also has a lot of places for diving, sea kayaking and rafting.
The most popular holiday destination right now is without doubt Alanya. About 10 % of all tourists in Turkey are on vacation in Alanya. The reason is probably the combination of two great beaches and the interesting sights. The best of them is the castle hill that divides the two beaches. From the top 250 meter (820 feet) above the sea there is a great view of Alanya and the surrounding country.
If you bring your kids, a popular attraction is the Water Planet Aquapark. It is one of Turkeys largest water parks with everything from rafting and water slides to bungee jumping and crazy golf. Alanya does also have a lot of shops with both real and fake branded goods. The night can be spent in the many discos and bars.
Antalya is a little different than the other holiday destinations. The city is not the typical fisher village that has grown into a holiday village. The city has 500,000 residents, so here you see more locals than tourists. It also means that you get a better insight into the real Turkey.
As a large city Alanya has a lot of bazaars, shopping centers and shopping streets. But there are also many interesting sights from the Roman Empire in the city. Many of them are in the old part of the city called Kaleici. Here you can also see old men playing dominoes while the women preparing the dinner.
The number one golf destination in Turkey is without doubt Belek. Eight golf courses can be found in the area; and many more are on their way. It can be necessary to book several months before the holiday, if you are going in the high season.
But Belek is more than playing golf. Here is a fantastic nature and an incredible silence, which are not found in the livelier holiday destinations such as Alanya and Side. Belek is also a paradise for bird lovers. The city does of course also have fine shopping and several water parks.
Surrounded by the Taurus Mountains and the Mediterranean is Kemer. Here you find a very special mix of the real Turkey and a great holiday destination with lively pedestrian streets, nice beach promenades and an elegant marina.
For some sightseeing you can visit the ruins of Phaselis; the winter location for Alexander the Great. Another great place (especially for the kids) is the 55,000 m2 Moonlight Park in the middle of Kemer. Here you find a playground, restaurants, bars, discos; and even a dolphinarium
Kusadasi is another fishing village which has developed into a holiday destination. The city has a lot of great Turkey restaurants, and while the nightlife is not a wild as in Alanya or Side, there is still a small bar street with discos and bars.
Kusadasi has an international feeling because of the many cruise ship guests in the city, which arrives to see the famous sight Efesos (also named Efesus). So expect a lot of smart cafes and shops with international clothing brands.
Side is probably the most romantic holiday destination in Turkey. In the old town you find many old Roman buildings. And if you walk a little away from the main street, it is possible to find quiet streets with well-preserved wood and stone houses. The city’s theater is certainly also worth a visit. In the old days there were gladiator fights; today you will find more peaceful concerts and theater.
When you get tired of all the culture and sight, you can dive into Sides wild nightlife. One of the most popular bars is located among the ruins of two old temples from the 2nd century. Side has two beaches; the lively and kid friendly western beach and the quieter east beach.

So Much To Do In One Fabulous State
Along the Golf Coast, there are many places that you can enjoy the beaches along the Gulf of Mexico. In fact, on of the best places to visit the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico is in Florida. Florida is a peninsula that goes around the entire peninsula. Although many of the beaches in Florida are perfect for a beach vacation, the Island Keys is not ones of these places. Thanks to the beautiful climate and water the Keys is perfect for a vacation filled with water sports, but not much more than that.
While in Florida you will want to go to the southern most point and visit the Hemingway house. At the Hemingway house you will get to watch some odd six toes cats wondering on the premise. On the Atlantic side of the state you should visit the fabulous and famous Miami Beach. Venture further north and visit Cocoa Beach and its famous Ron Jon store that is open 24/7. Although Cocoa Beach is a tourist destination it is still a great place to visit whether you are looking to lay in the sun or surf.
Although the beaches are great, Florida also has many other great attractions. To start with you have Disney and other themed parks located in or around the Orlando area. On the east coast you can visit Daytona Beach then across the state along the Gulf of Mexico coast is Tampa and Clearwater. Both are great places for families, couples and friends.
While in Tampa you will find that it is a fun city with much to do. There is fine dining, sporting events and theme parks, such as Busch Gardens. Just a short ride across the bridge you can visit the Clearwater/St. Pete area. This area has some of the best beaches in Florida with lots of fun and night life.
Just south of St. Pete is Sarasota and Ft. Myers. In these areas you can find many great seafood restaurants and fine arts. A great place to visit in this area is the Ringling Museum which houses some of the greatest artwork anywhere. There are so many wonderful places in Florida to visit that you may want to rent a car and spend a week or two just traveling around visiting each and everyone of them.
You can find cheap airfares are good deals on expedia.com. When you travel for the holidays, getting a cheap flight can really make the whole visit much better.

When You Think Caribbean Beaches In Costa Rica, Do You Think Fantastic?
Tropical Costa Rica is one of the most beautiful places on the globe, world-famous for its uncrowded beaches, tropical mountains, and volcanoes. Many Costa Rica vacationers visit its sandy beaches ranging from white to black, coral beaches, and rugged boulder strewn beaches with magnificent surf along the Caribbean Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Because of its many attractions and warm, friendly people, it has become one of the favorite tropical vacations for beach lovers and eco-tourists.
Few visitors to Costa Rica realize its rich history or how it got its name. About a decade after he discovered the New World along the American coast, Christopher Columbus returned and sailed south. He became so enthralled with the Caribbean beaches he found here that he named his discovery Costa Rica! The name means the rich coast and has stuck for over five centuries.
Do not be fooled. Columbus was the first, but not the last, explorer. There are still many adventures for visitors to discover for themselves. Costa Rica has nearly 800 kilometers of Caribbean coast. Its eastern coast has far less development than the western side of the country and has a unique Caribbean feel. This is Bob Marley country.
For more and more tourists, a Costa Rica vacation is not complete without seeing Tortuguero National Park along the northern Caribbean coast extending to the southern border of. There are no roads to Tortuguero so most folks go to Limon and travel north to the park by boat, although there are small airfields as well. Despite its remoteness, this Caribbean park is one of Costa Rica’s Seven Wonders. Originally set aside as the world’s largest green sea turtle nesting area, today it hosts many lodges and tours servicing fishermen and ecotourists.
Limon is often the starting point to head north by boat or small aircraft to Tortuguero or along the Costa Rica Caribbean highway to great beaches south, including the beach where Columbus first landed. Limon is not a favorite vacation destination and is best considered as the place to go north or south. Heading south will take you to Puerto Viejo. This small town is legendary for surfers and a favorite Costa Rica surfing destination. Between November through April, it is often filled with surfers. The top surfers head for the world-famous three-mile long La Salsa Brava wave. A short distance south beginners and intermediates can have lots of fun surfing at Playa Cocles.
About 50 kilometers south of Limon and a short distance north of Puerto Viejo is Cahuita, a very small, laid-back community with kilometer after kilometer of pristine beaches, some nearly black and others pure white. September and October are the driest months of the year and visitors who come around October 12 take in Carnaval at Limon, a week-long fiesta celebrating Columbus Day. Cahuita is popular for its wonderful reef snorkeling around its two shipwrecks. Not a lot of nightlife here so head a few miles south to Puerto Viejo.
Last, but certainly not least, is the Gandoco-Manzanillo Wildlife Reserve nearly at the Panama border. When Christopher Columbus discovered Costa Rica, this is where he landed. In this tropical you will find crystal clear waters perfect for swimming and scuba diving (you can rent equipment and even get PADI certified). Or, if you like, snorkeling at Costa Rica’s largest coral reefs. Not to mention, kayaking, hiking, and terrific wildlife viewing.

Travelling To Tropical Places
Traveling to commercial tropical areas is easy since they are populated by humans. However, traveling to rainforests is a bit tougher and delicate. In this article you can read about both types of travelling.
There are several countries that you can travel to with tropical beaches. You can either chose to travel to the South Americas or Southern Asia areas.
You can find cheap accommodation in these countries. On the other hand the airfares can be quite expensive (depending on your departure destination). So look on the internet and at the agencies to find the best travel deals. Finding the best deal can save you a lot of money on your trip.
Another popular tropical travel destination is The Amazon in Ecuador, South America. Here there are six potential travel regions you can visit (depending on which areas that are not restricted for tourists). These regions are: Morona, Orellana, Sucumbios, Napo, Zamora Chinchipe, Santiago and Pastaza.
In the The Amazon there are two cities: Coca and Tena. The bus to Tena takes about 6 hours. Normally the buses don’t stops during the trip. The price for the trip is $7.
When traveling The Amazon, it is best to travel in groups for better safety. A tour guide with knowledge about the surrounding areas, plants and animals is also ideal.
If you have the budget and time, you can stay in a jungle lodge; building right inside the jungle. Normally the package includes stuff like fishing, canoe trips and biking.
The price per night in the lodge normally ranges from to $100USD to over $250USD; depending on the package and the quality of the lodge. You can get it much cheaper if you book the package while you are in Ecuador instead of booking them from home.

Vacation On The Cheap: Great Budget Travel Tips For A Wise Costa Rica Vacation
For nearly two decades, tropical Costa Rica has been a popular get away for North Americans and, increasingly, Europeans. Only about the size of West Virginia, its many attractions are world-famous: more than 780 miles of uncrowded coastlines on two oceans; parks and reserves covering 25 percent of its land area; and an incredible diversity of fauna and flora.
Volcanoes, terrific angling, some of the best surfing anywhere, whitewater river rafting or family rafting adventures, ziplining 80 feet in the top of tropical canopies, and, of course, Costa Rica’s famous adult nightlife. What happens here stays here, unless you want to brag about your exploits in Twitter.
This little Latin American country offers a vacation for every budget. Certainly, there are luxurious hotels and resorts. For example, the Real Intercontinental Hotel outside of San Jose is where heads of state stay. There are world famous resorts like the Papagayo Four Seasons Resort, La Gaia Hotel, and Los Suenos Resorts. But, they are not for everybody. If you fall in the latter category or simply do not want to spend your time or money in such fancy digs, Costa Rica can be enjoyed very well on a much littler budget. Good news! Prudent budget travel is available.
1. Observe travel seasons and save 20 percent or more at resorts and hotels
a. Avoid Peak Season. The week before Christmas through New Years week (December 15-January 5) and Easter Week are Peak Season not only for overseas visitors but for Costa Rica residents, too. Costa Rica schools are out, many governmental agencies and private businesses close, and thousands of local families migrate to the most popular beaches. They will find the best bargains; you will pay the highest premium prices.
b. After Christmas comes High Season which equates with winter in the Northern Hemisphere. Many tourists visit Costa Rica between January to the end of April because of the sunny tropical weather, a fact not lost on hotels and resorts. If you are a Snowbird, expect to be plucked a bit more during High Season, just like you would in sunny Florida.
c. The best travel and hotel bargains are found during the Green (Low) Season. Do not be concerned about the weather. Showers are not every day and when it rains it is normally for an hour or two in the late afternoon. For the very best budget travel deals travel Costa Rica between September and mid-November when (if you ask) there are often discounts of 20 percent or more waiting. Finally, June through mid-August finds students and families from the States and elsewhere on vacation, too, but prices and availability of hotel and resort rooms are good virtually everywhere.
2. Save $25 a day when renting a car by planning ahead
Many Costa Rica tourists rent a vehicle on the web and are shocked to learn when they arrive that the rental agency wants an additional $25 or more per day for liability insurance! Rule 1: If your home automobile policy includes liability coverage, that insurance is good in Costa Rica. Recommendation: bring a copy of the policy along with the fax and email of your insurance agent and save that money for your vacation. Rule 2: Many credit cards offer a little known benefit: liability insurance coverage for rentals when the card is used. Contact your credit card company before you travel for best results. Rule 3: Be polite but informed. After all, it is your money.
3. Save another 5 percent or more: Remember that Cash Is King
Many Costa Rica merchants welcome dollars over credit cards and when asked for a cash discount will offer 5 percent or more. You need to ask :”Que (pronounced “K”) es discuento por efectivo?” which means “What is the discount for cash?” Be sure the bills are new and not defaced with even a tiny tear. And, bring $20 and $50 bills. Many restaurants, merchants, and hostels cannot break a $100 bill.
4. Save 10 percent while dining: Do not pay two tips in a restaurant
Suppose you could often save 10 percent when you eat in a restaurant. Most tourists do not know that a large number of restaurants and bars, particularly those popular with foreign travelers who cannot read in Spanish, automatically include a 10 percent tip (called “servicio”) on a bill. They are aware that many tourists unsuspectingly then leave another gratuity. However, the savvy budget travel patron looks for the word “servicio” (or another word that involves an extra ten percent charge).
