If you like to mix in culture and history along with sitting at the beach than Thailand is the place for you. The many Buddhist temples that dot the countryside, along with many great palaces can fill your days with sightseeing. You can also experience the beauty of an Issan dance troop at one of the many cultural centers for a little added enjoyment.
The capital of Thailand is Bangkok. It is a very metropolitan city that can cater to all tastes. It has a very vibrant nightlife to offset the hectic big business atmosphere of any large city. It is also home to some of the countries best known temples and palaces.
Thailand has some of the best tropical beaches on the planet. White sand, tall palm trees, and azure blue waters setup an ideal tropical resort setting. The crowd of visitors to the place includes, backpackers, families, and single tourists. There really is something for everyone.
One of the top islands is Koh Samui. It was once a sleepy beach visited mainly by backpackers looking to take in the full moon parties and cheap accommodations. It’s popularity has grown and now there are just as many families and high end resorts as their are backpackers. It still has some great tropical beaches and world class SCUBA diving.
Also high on the list is the island of Phuket in the Andaman Sea. It is comprised of three main resort locations. Kamala Beach, Karon Beach, and Patong Beach are the most popular. While Patong is know for its nightlife, Kamala and Karon are a little more laid back and family friendly. Phuket is also close to James Bond Island, a very popular day trip.
Thailand is well known as a travel destination for many very good reasons. If you are looking to try something a little different and experience a bit of Asia, then you should definitely have this as a stop on your itinerary.

Travel To Ritsurin Park
Ritsurin Park Japan is one of the most beautiful and famous parks the country has to offer. Located within the city of Takamatsu, Ritsurin Park is an excellent example of traditional Japanese garden architecture and design which dates back to feudal times.
Ritsurin Park is designated as a National Scenic Area by the Japanese Government and has been cited as a ‘masterpiece of Japanese landscape gardens.’ The park is ornately designed in the style of the early daimyo constructed gardens. Ritsurin Park started as a garden built by a ruling family in the 16th century and was continually improved and expanded until it was completed by the Matsudaira family in the 18th century.
Ritsurin Park Japan spans 74 hectares and is a great example of the natural beauty of Japan as well as the cultural beauty that created the man-made elements of the park. The park has been designed using footbridges, artificial hills and ponds, and the traditional tea house as well as folk art and craft exhibits. The park is stunning all year round as distinctive foliage thrives during the changing seasons. The plum and cherry blossom during spring contrasts with the rusty autumn foliage or winters flourishing camellia’s.
A whole day could be spent enjoying the magnificence of Ritsurin Park, however the keen trail walker could cover it in an hour or two. Tea ceremonies, garden illuminations, concerts and festivals are just some of the activities that the park has to offer throughout the year. Ritsurin Park is also a very romantic place, often frequented by lovers out for a stroll – you may even witness a traditional Japanese wedding taking place.
Japan has a very efficient public transport system which makes getting to Ritsurin Park very simple. Takamatsu City is on Shikoku Island on the south west corner of Japan. You can fly to the city from any of the country’s major airports, take the ferry crossing the Seto Inland Sea, go via train or the Foot-Buss from the Kansai area.

Hualien And Taroko Gorge
On Taiwan’s east coast is Hualien, a small but beautiful city. The city is a common jumping off point for a visit to Taroko National Park, within which you’ll find Taroko Gorge, a canyon of jagged cliffs 19km in length.
The founding of Taroko, Taiwan was in the 30s while Taiwan was part of the Japanese Empire. From Taiwan’s capital, it’s possible to catch one train all the way to Hualien in just two hours. Having a seat on the left side of the train will reward you with stunning views of the ocean as the train travels along the coastline for most of its trip.
Taroko Gorge, on Ilha Formosa, or beautiful island, certainly lives up to its name. It is quite possible to wander through the surrounding area, especially along the many hiking paths, some of which are marked as closed, but are still well used by backpackers. A thick fog frequently carpets the gorge, creating astonishing views. A wide variety of fauna, including several kinds of boar, inhabit Taroko Gorge, making it an excellent place to satisfy your inner animal lover.
Of the three choices of how to get to Taroko, Taiwan, taking a tour bus from outside the railway station is probably the easiest. However, this doesn’t allow for so much freedom, and the tours are often given in Mandarin.
The option granting the most freedom is to rent a scooter to get to Taroko Gorge. Being only twenty minutes by road from Hualien, taking a scooter there is easily doable, but getting a scooter in the first place may prove difficult, though not impossible, if you’re not in possession of a Taiwanese operating license.
Visiting Taroko Gorge by taxi is another possibility, though probably the most expensive option at US$20 for a full day’s use of a driver, who may speak some English, and his car. Finding a taxi willing to drive you to some of the many beautiful places along the coast to look out at the ocean should be quite easy.

Why You Should Visit Cochin In India
Cochin, also referred to as Kochi, is a tropical paradise of waving palm trees and sandy beaches. It is located in the Indian state of Kerala, which is a narrow strip of coastal territory in Southern India that stretches down the Western Ghats, and up in to the Arabian sea.
It is cleaner and calmer than many Indian tourist destinations. In fact, you could easily mistake the look and feel of the place for a small, traditional European city. The influence of the British, Dutch and Portuguese, who all ruled there at one time or another, can still be felt in many aspects of life, not limited to architecture, infrastructure, language, and social attitudes.
It is a deeply religious place, and the local people there have varied ethnic backgrounds. You will find Hindus, Muslims, Jews and Christians living together harmoniously and celebrating all festivals enthusiastically. All places of worship exist there (churches, mosques, temple and synagogues), and you will come across some really fantastic examples of them, dating back hundreds of years.
Cochin’s most famous landmark is a row of Chinese fishing nets at the mouth of the harbor leading to the Arabian sea, which is the oldest part of the city. These fishing nets are over a hundred years old, yet they are still used on a daily basis. Not only can you watch the fishermen work, you can also join in and help them should you wish to do so. There are, of course, lots of other worthwhile sights there too, more than enough to occupy you for a week or two.
The coastline that extends from Cochin has some of the best beaches in India. The coconut lined golden sands and turquoise blue sea, make a picture perfect destination to spend to your vacation. They are unspoilt too, as there are typically just a handful of beach huts and restaurants lining the shores, so you can enjoy the surroundings pretty much as nature created them.
As for where to stay, Cochin was one of the first places in India to pioneer the concept of homestays, which provide a much needed additional source of income to the locals, while at the same time giving you an insight into the real Cochin. With homestay accommodation, you get to stay with a local family, who will take care of you and will ensure that all of your needs are catered for.

Travelling To Tropical Places
Traveling to commercial tropical areas is easy since they are populated by humans. However, traveling to rainforests is a bit tougher and delicate. In this article you can read about both types of travelling.
There are several countries that you can travel to with tropical beaches. You can either chose to travel to the South Americas or Southern Asia areas.
You can find cheap accommodation in these countries. On the other hand the airfares can be quite expensive (depending on your departure destination). So look on the internet and at the agencies to find the best travel deals. Finding the best deal can save you a lot of money on your trip.
Another popular tropical travel destination is The Amazon in Ecuador, South America. Here there are six potential travel regions you can visit (depending on which areas that are not restricted for tourists). These regions are: Morona, Orellana, Sucumbios, Napo, Zamora Chinchipe, Santiago and Pastaza.
In the The Amazon there are two cities: Coca and Tena. The bus to Tena takes about 6 hours. Normally the buses don’t stops during the trip. The price for the trip is $7.
When traveling The Amazon, it is best to travel in groups for better safety. A tour guide with knowledge about the surrounding areas, plants and animals is also ideal.
If you have the budget and time, you can stay in a jungle lodge; building right inside the jungle. Normally the package includes stuff like fishing, canoe trips and biking.
The price per night in the lodge normally ranges from to $100USD to over $250USD; depending on the package and the quality of the lodge. You can get it much cheaper if you book the package while you are in Ecuador instead of booking them from home.

This place was “Utopia” , (a little inside joke). I wouldn’t even know where to start or how to describe what a great place SE Asia was. We visited Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam, but I made a little slide show here from some of the best/worst moments of our 4 week trip through SE Asia. I definetely had a good time, and I know the boys did too. Anyhow, I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story….enjoy!
