Settling On A Family Vacation Destination
Every summer I take the family on a vacation to a destination that everyone can agree on. One year we went to Disneyland, the next, the Grand Canyon. This year, we are all having a problem deciding on where to go. Some want to go to the beach and others want to go the mountains. I’m thinking southern California, and then you are not far from either.
When I was online trying to figure out what to do I came across a lot of different websites that offered travel ideas. I ordered a lot of pamphlets and brochures to help us settle on the best place to go. I got some information on southern California and some for New York. Some of the kids weren’t interested in NYC at first, but it was something I thought they should see.
It was really easy to order these free travel brochures online. The site listed all 50 states, and all I had to do was pick the one that interested me the most. Then it was a simple matter of filling out some information and they would send it right off.
There are countless possibilities in this country. I really didn’t realize how much potential there was for good, family activities. There were brochures that had information on river rafting in southern Utah and finding the best ski slopes in Colorado. Basically, they had all the details we needed to start planning a great trip.
Wherever you decide to go, I’m sure that they have a travel brochure for it. I thought it was kind of fun to search different places around the country that I would have never thought to vacation. Looking through the different places, I realize that this country has a lot of hidden gems.
When I received the pamphlets, we went over all of them with the family and narrowed down the choices of where we are going. The kids are the ones holding us up. They would rather go to an amusement park than a national park.
They have travel pamphlets for almost anywhere you could vacation. Indoor, outdoor, it doesn’t matter much. All you have to do is log on and order your pamphlets.
After viewing all the brochures and seeing all that there is to see around the country, I think that the decision is going to be tough for us to decide on just one place. It’s a good thing that there is many more summers to come so we can plan many more vacations.
