Kelowna is a beautiful Canadian city located in British Columbia. It is right next to Lake Okanagan, in fact, the lake divides the city in half. There are many wealthy and well known people that have bought a summer home in the city because of its beauty. Tourism is one of its biggest industries and for good reason!
So what makes Kelowna so special?
First, it has some amazing golf courses such as Kelowna springs, Mission Creek, Shadow Ridge, and Harvest Golf Club just to name a few. If you like to golf then you will find plenty of courses right at your doorstep.
Second, it has world renown wineries. My favorite winery is Mt. Boucherie which is located right in Kelowna. You can take wine tours and taste many different wines around the Okanagan valley.
Third, it is right next to lake Okanagan which provides an outlet for many different water sports like wake boarding, wind surfing, wake surfing, para sailing, swimming, canoeing, and the list goes on. If water sports is something you enjoy then you’ll find Kelowna is a perfect place for you.
Fourth, it has great weather (although, sometimes it gets pretty hot in the summer time). At least you know you won’t have very many cold days.
Fifth, its real estate is extra ordinary. There are mansions on the lake, beautiful home on the ridge, and little acreages next to wineries. There’s something for everyone!
Now, all of this would not matter if it was hard to get to Kelowna. But, the best part is that it has an international airport which means you have no excuse not to go! Just book your tickets and get ready to have a blast on your next vacation. Kelowna will not disappoint you.
One last thing to mention is that Kelowna is great for kids as well. You can play mini golf, play at the beach, go to the mall, or whatever… there’s something for everyone.
