They are also the home of the Seal Rescue Centre and Academy where many concerned people have been taught to care for baby abandoned seal pups. This marine sanctuary will provide a journey beneath the waves that won’t be forgotten.

Did you know that Europe has 50 different countries? And did you plan to visit all of them on your next Europe-trip. Well, unless you have several months, you should instead focus on a few large cities. Below I will suggest 4 cities in 4 countries, which all have great sights, delicious food and/or superb nightlife.

Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Are you looking for a city with a very liberal minded look at hashish and sex? Then Amsterdam is the place for you. In the so-called coffeeshops you can buy hash and around the corner in the Red Light District you find women in all nationalities and sizes.

But Amsterdam is much more than that. You can also see great art by Van Gogh and Rembrandt. Or visit the Anne Frank House ” known from the Anne Frank’s Diary.

Barcelona, Spain. The capital of Spain is Madrid ” but the most interesting city is without doubt Barcelona. The city has everything: great food, interesting sights and a very fine nightlife. And then there is FC Barcelona ” the famous football club with the amazing stadium Camp Nou.

On a visit to Barcelona you also have to see Sagrada Famlia ” the unfinished cathedral by Antoni Gaud. Finish your day by a stroll down the La Ramla to the great harbor area, and eat tapas in Barceloneta.

Budapest, Hungary. The Danube (known from the famous The Blue Danube waltz by Johan Strauss) divides Budapest in two: the hilly Buda on the left and the flat Pest on the right. The sightseeing should be focused on the Castle Hill in Buda and the central part of Pest, where the greatest sights are found.

Must see sights are the Royal Palace and the National Gallery. The large parks on Margaret Island are a pleasant place to relax and wander in the afternoon. The best shops are found in Vci Street and in Westend City Center ” the largest shopping centre in Central Europe.

Prague, the Czech Republic. Even though prices have gone up since the end of the Cold War, Prague is still the place for a cheap vacation. Here you can find both very reasonably priced accommodation and restaurants.

In Prague there are also many great sights. You can start your visit by the amazing Astronomical Clock in the old part of the city (called Star Mesto). Then you can pass the Vltava River on the Charles Bridge (remember to look at the painters and souvenir sellers) to left side of Prague. On the hills you can visit the biggest ancient castle in the world, the Prague Castle. If you have more time, also visit the Kafka Museum, the Jewish Museum and the Josefov ” the historical Jewish ghetto.

There is more to Bodrum than its world renowned night-life with its contrasting and exquisite old world charm. As the sun rises and the nightclubs wind down, the delights of Bodrum during the day come to the fore. If it’s history you after, Bodrum has it in abundance, with the stunning Castle of St Peter, the Mausoleum and the Myndos Gate just some of the places to see. You could also spend the day at sea on one of the regular boat trips or visit a hamams, otherwise known as a Turkish Bath either way they are the perfect way to relax.

Bodrum typically boasts over 300 days of sunshine a year and if you are looking for a hip and sunny resort, then the best time to visit Bodrum is between May and October. You will get over 12 hours of Turkish sun a day with temperatures in August reaching over 35C. The coastal breeze keeps humidity down and maintains the temperatures, however it still gets very hot. Air conditioning is definitely recommended if you are staying here. The stunning blue Aegean water temperature reaches 25C, making swimming very comfortable. Spring and Autumn are obviously cooler, however they are still very pleasant.

Bitez (or Agacli – meaning ‘full of trees’) is one of the main citrus growing areas on the peninsula and is abundant with mandarin and olive groves. The beach here is one of the cleanest on the peninsula and the restaurants and cafes that line the promenade offer Turkish, oriental and international cuisine. Bitez lies on a bay, a few kilometres west from Bodrum, attracting an older, more upmarket crowd. The gently-sloping coarse-sand beach has wooden piers for swimming and is lined with whitewashed hotels and resort villas, whilst also host to a popular windsurfing and sailing school – its sheltered cove and shallow water are perfect for beginners.

Turkish Markets are a must for any holiday maker and Milas Market is one of the biggest in the area. With everything from textiles to perfumes to fruit and more, it is an extraordinary place to visit. The stallholders are uniquely Turkish and this being a”proper” market, you’ll find them courteous and the whole place does not have that “holidaymakers” market feel. There’s still plenty of opportunity to find that perfect souvenir with handicrafts and local weavings and produce in abundance. If your up for it, forget eating out and enjoy putting together your next meal from the local offerings. With so much on offer you find everything you need for that perfect lunch! There is so much on offer you’ll wonder where the time has gone as you wander round the masses of stalls. Once your finished at the market you may fancy a change of pace and just a little north of Milas you will find Lake Bafa where the northern shore of the lakes steep slopes are covered by wild or semi-domesticated olive trees and are virtually untouched to this day. According to legend, it was here that the goddess Selene fell in love with the shepherd Endymion and she asked Zeus to keep the young shepherd in perpetual sleep and bore up to fifty children from her nightly encounters with the sleeping young man.

The Bodrum peninsular has managed to keep its charm and there are many villages and hamlets to take in, with Karakaya being a fine example. Beautiful views across the Aegean and its loving restored stone house, its a special place to visit. Many of the local communities are looking to open them selves up and a visit to the bazaars and villages is the ideal way to do this. Comakdag Village is one of these villages and lies on the Izmir – Milas road on a picturesque mountain slope. Successfully keeping its culture and its heritage you’ll find it a welcome place with its artistic houses and you may even be lucky to witness one of its wedding feasts that last for days. The stores and people are abound with the beautiful local silk weavings. Another fabulous place to visit is situated between the beaches of Bodrum and Gumusluk where you’ll find Rabbit Island. Accessed by paddling across the sunken causeway, it’s is a treat in itself.

If golf is your thing, then this is now available only 15 minutes outside Bodrum. Vita Park lies close to Tuzla Bay, a unique wetland habitat for a number of rare bird species and flamingos. The resort encompasses a total area of one and a half million square meters, including the 5795-metre course, clubhouse and the Mike Adams Golf Academy. The par-71 Milas course is the first course finished and is reminiscent of a Scottish links course. The second course, the Halikarnas, is currently under construction and is designed to have a dramatic Arizona golf course look.

Bodrum then, makes for perfect Turkey holidays. It’s quiet old world charms, mixed with its vibrant exotic night-life give you everything you need.

ok so im 5 months pregnant and we want to go on a roadtrip and stop for like 2 days in each place .where is some really good recommended places to go visit with things to do like recreational parks,theme parks,historical places,scenery..etc…it will be my older son my husband and i and were driving from san antonio Tx..please recommend anything with personal experiences you have had before except disney world been there before
any ideas?

There’s tons of State Parks every direction. A place I thought amazing when I was a kid was the Great Dunes National Park in Colorado. Of course, there’s the Arch in St. Louis. The Mammoth Caves in Kentucky are fantastic to take a tour through. If you’re traveling east through the south, there’s tons of Civil War Battlefields to see. The Museum of Science & Industry in Chicago is fantastic. The monument area of Washington D.C. & all the Smithsonian museums are fantastic.
If you’re passing through an particular cities, go on-line and in the search box type "things to see in ________" (put city in blank). Then click "attractions" on the topics and see what’s available. That’s what I did when we drove to Tallahassee recently and found a State park & a car museum worth seeing.

I had entered for a chance to win a trip at a booth set up at a festival. I got the call saying I had won a trip to Orlando and all I had to do was pay the taxes and attend a presentation. After that I would get two bonus trips. Anyone heard of this? Is it a scam? It would only cost $398 or so they say.

Melbourne accommodation choices go from the expensive and magnificent hotels that offer a little more than the basics for a great price. Come to Melbourne to have a wonderful vacation and you will find a hotel that is just right for you and your family.

Accommodations are many and here are some that can be found in the city. There are the elegant and luxurious hotels, the mid range hotels that provide a good place to stay and the cheaper hotels that will not involve big prices but still deliver good service. Each of these hotels have 5 to 3 and a half stars so pick what ever suits your needs.

In the Southbank area you can find the Crown Towers Hotel on Whiteman Street. This is one of most opulent hotels in the city and it prides itself on customer care and stylish rooms. Each room has beautiful views of the bay. They also have air conditioning and a unique 42 inch plasma TV. There are private bathrooms for each room and refrigerator and mini bar. You will not have to walk far to get to the business area of town. If you wish you can make reservations at the on site spa. When you are done there go to the on site entertainment area where you will find the usual clubs, movie theaters, and bars but also take advantage of the casino and the indoor theme park. There are even many different restaurants with expensive menus to the budget fare. Prices for rooms are AUD $390 to $750 but it is an extreme five star rated hotel.

Also in Victoria district is The 5 star Westin Melbourne Hotel. This is a contemporary hotel that will give you a great place to lay your head at night when you are done playing at all the activities it has to offer. Inside the hotel are extravagant to simple restaurants and bars, there is a fitness center where you can work off all the food you eat. You will find large rooms in this hotels that are decorated with flair and style. Each room has cable, private bath, air conditioning, a mini bar and Internet access. You can get a babysitter for your children or the concierge will help you with all your needs. Rooms are expensive but a good value for the money at AUD $365 to $670.

If these are a little too rich for your blood try the Rydges Melbourne Hotel found in Victoria. It is near the theater district and you can easily walk to the mall and other boutiques in town as well as see events in the sporting complex. Rooms have the basic cable, private baths, Internet access, air conditioners, and room service with a 4 and a half star rating. There is a restaurant and bar available as well as a swimming pool You will pay about AUD $189 to $350.

There are hotels that cost even less but still provide a great place to stay. The three and and a half star Mercure Hotel in Victoria is one of them. It is also in the theater section of town where shopping, nightclubs and restaurants are just a few foot steps away. The airport is close by as well. This hotel has 12 floors and has the standard room that provides air conditioning, TV, Internet Access and mini bars. It also has superior rooms that have a few more perks. Take advantage of the breakfast buffet at the Louden Kitchen & Grill on site for $18 and you will not even get hungry until dinnertime. Rooms will cost about AUD $160 to $350.

The Victoria Hotel Melbourne on Little Collins Street in Victoria district is a popular hotel that does not cost a great deal of money. It is in the middle of the city and is a historic site being built in the late 1800’s. The city transit system is within walking distance. Rooms may have a Victorian type feel but they are modern with air conditioning, TV, private baths, refrigerator, and safe deposit boxes. There is Internet access and a concierge desk. Alice’s Restaurant is in the hotel along with a bar, spa, sauna, swimming pool and gym. You can’t go wrong with a price of AUD $125 to $350 for a room.

Melbourne is a great place to visit and there are many things to do and see. The hotels are unique and vary in style and price. You can find something you will want to come back to again and again.
