Maybe you already go to the beach nearest you quite frequently, and are looking for a unique getaway. No problem! Look around the country or globe for beaches you’ve never been to. Chances are, there are many that are just a few hours away by plane or car.

Maui is one of my personal favorites, and the flight to Hawaii is not long. This is a very romantic getaway, and is very popular among newlyweds. With miles of pure sand and lots of activities, you will have a great time!

The Virgin Islands are another popular vacation spot. This area is also known for being very romantic. You and your partner will really be able to reconnect and relax. The view is amazing and soon you’ll forget all the stresses of home.

Not looking for a long vacation overseas? Try a weekend in California. You’ll love the beaches there, and with so many of them, you have plenty of options. Those of you with children will appreciate not only the many activities available, but also the fact that you don’t have to travel overseas with kids in tow!

Some of the better known attractions in California include Sea World and the San Diego Zoo, but there are many others. Huntingdon is one of the best beaches in my opinion, and my family and I visit almost every year.

Before making a decision on your getaway destination, be sure you do your homework and find out if the resort is more appropriate for family vacations or romantic getaways. This can avoid some awkward discussions with the kids later!

Because there are usually many different things to do on your beach vacation, it is helpful to look into the many options before you set out. Decide what your top priorities are and have fun!
